Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do: Bruce Lee's martial art and philosophy.  "Jun Fan" is Lee's Chinese name. Lee created and developed
JKD as a means to finish an opponent off as quickly and economically as possible. In the 1960's, Lee and Guro Dan Inosanto
researched every martial art they could find, chose and blended several of these selected arts with Jun Fan Gung Fu, and formed
into one system, which Lee named "Jeet Kune Do." These following martial arts are what form the Jeet Kune Do structure:

1. Jun Fan Gung Fu: The core foundation and structure behind Jeet Kune Do. Bruce Lee's evolution of his original art, Wing
Chun.  Lee, upon coming to the U. S. soon realized that Wing Chun was not very effective against the much larger and stronger
Americans. In order to adapt, he changed his Wing Chun. So much so that he changed his style's name to "Jun Fan Gung Fu."
Without Jun Fan Gung Fu, it is not true Jeet Kune Do.

2. Jun Fan Kicking: Bruce Lee’s unique kicking method, utilizing techniques from Wing Chun, Muay Thai, Savate, Northern and
Southern Shaolin, and of course, Lee’s own special way of kicking.

3. Western Boxing: Fast, deceptive punching, quick footwork and evasions, and hardcore conditioning combined with powerful
hitting methods make this art a favorite part of JKD training. Lee idolized Muhammad Ali and incorporated the “sweet science’s”
ways into JKD.

4. Wing Chun: A Southern Chinese Gung Fu System made famous by Bruce Lee. This a close range fighting art that relies on the
sense of touch, developing tactile sensitivity, constant forward pressure, attacking the centerline, economy of motion, and
complex trapping techniques. JKD uses many training methods from Wing Chun, such as Chi Sao, the Wooden Dummy, and Sil
Lum Tao.

5. Muay Thai: A devastatingly powerful art, with brutal kicks, elbows, and knee techniques that can break an opponent in half!
Muay Thai is hardcore in everything they do - their training methods, mentality, and intensity. JKD utilizes Muay Thai and applies it
for streetfighting and self defense.

6. Savate: Pin-point accurate toe kicks and effective combinations of hand and foot strikes identify this art of France. Savate is
about precision, accuracy, speed, and agility. JKD uses Savate's kicks to confuse the enemy.

7. Jeet Kune Do Grappling: JKD has combined the arts of  Japanese Jujitsu, Judo, Kali, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to form its "hybrid"
grappling/ground fighting system. However, regardless of the situation, the principle in JKD is to avoid the ground because this is
streetfighting, not ring fighting. JKD utilizes joint locks, chokes & strangles, takedowns, throws, sweeps, pins, escapes,
positioning, and restraining techniques. As a last resort, JKD uses eye gouging, biting, and pressure points to escape from a
position.
"Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless. Like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the
cup; you put water into bottle, it becomes the bottle; you put water into a teapot, it becomes the
teapot. Now water can flow, or it can crash. Be water, my friend... "  -  Bruce Lee

1. Inosanto/LaCoste Kali: Passed on by Paul Vunak to Sifu Adrian, Guro Dan Inosanto's FMA system, consisting of 12 Areas,
includes several weapons, empty hand, and grappling methods. Kali is commonly known as a weapons-based warrior art from
the Philippines, and is famous for its stick and knife fighting.

2. Kali Silat: A rare, exotic fighting art from Indonesia, Silat is brutal, powerful, and devastating. Silat attacks an opponent using
special leverage, body positioning and triangulation techniques. Silat uses the blade and the Sarong, as well as empty hand
techniques. Silat takedowns are "un-braceable" and bone-breaking.
1. Rapid Assault Tactics: Paul Vunak's combat method that he taught to the U. S. Navy SEAL Teams; this streamlined version of
JKD applies rapid, pain-inducing entries, in-your-face pressure, and brutal termination of the enemy; applied correctly, R. A. T.
can neutralize an opponent within 10 seconds.

2. Women's Self-Defense:: Designed specifically for women, our program combines R. A. T., Jeet Kune Do Grappling, and the
Filipino Martial Arts. The dilemma here is, how do you overcome a much larger and stronger opponent, or opponents, under
unfavorable circumstances? The answer is, you cheat.

3. Law Enforcement Tactics: Paul Vunak's system for Peace Officers. Based on the Force Continuum Concept, threat
responses are classified into Passive Resistance (apply Joint Locking, Chokes, and Restraining Holds), Medium Force (apply
Kali Silat), and Lethal Force (apply the R. A. T.). A simple, but effective, approach.
