Dumog is a Filipino martial art that is based on grappling, wrestling, and ground fighting. The art is unique in that it allows a smaller person to take down and control a bigger opponent by attacking choke points on the body – parts of the body that will bend and move naturally, regardless of the person’s strength. Examples of Dumog targets are the head, the hip, and the knee.Using proper leverage, angulation and gripping, Dumog will move a body. Dumog also complements the close-range striking tools of Kali by allowing headbutts, elbows, knees, and eye gouges to be implemented along with grappling techniques. Dumog also attack nerve bundles and pressure points.

Typical dumog techniques include hubud-lubud (tactile sensitivity drill), hubud lubud single hand, switches, dumog ground locking series, branch-up and branch-down series, kunsi lock (joint lock) flows, walis (sweeping) series and linakun (throwing) series.
